The “1. Chemistry contact fair” took place at the Clausthal University of Technology on November 7, 2019. The event was organized by the Jungchemikerforum Harz in cooperation with ChemieNetzwerk Harz, whose invitation to participate was gladly accepted by Recylex GmbH and its companies.
Five representatives (see photo) of various divisions of Recylex GmbH took care of the booth and drew attention to the Recylex Group´s field of work through many individual discussions as well as the issue of information brochures and useful promotional items. Approximately 50 chemistry, chemical engineering, process engineering and environmental engineering (etc.) students took their chance to discuss their future prospects with regional representatives of the chemical and metal industries. In addition to explanations of the various business areas and products of the five Recylex subsidiaries, internships and the identification of possible fields of application were the most frequently discussed topics.
Mr. Thomas Paul, Managing Director of three Oker-based Recylex companies – Harz-Metall GmbH, C2P Germany GmbH and Norzinco GmbH, who did not want to miss the opportunity to get in touch with potential talents, tried to convince each and every of a commitment at one of the Recylex subsidiaries and was enthusiastic to tell about the first fair of this kind at the nearby Technical University: “The interest of the students of chemistry and related studies in practical experience and employment in the region has become very clear. We have also understood that it is still one of our responsibilities to make use of the potential offered by TU Clausthal with its various talents. Fortunately, in the past we have already managed to fill important positions with graduates of this prestigious university. During the fair we motivated all interested persons to contact us, to get their own impression of our companies by visiting the site and to apply for vacant positions or to send an unsolicited application. It is obvious that we are also pleased about the interest of all those who could not attend the fair.”
